JWY 08 - Anne Havel Torch Fire Enamel Workshop
with Priscilla Fritsch
only 3 seats left
We are thrilled to host Vermont-based artist Anne Havel as she returns to Callanwolde this Fall! Using a torch, instruction will cover various methods of line creation to create the imagery and feeling one is tring to convey. Successive layers of liquids and sgraffito, transparents, opaques, graphite, acid etching, underglaze lines, under & over firing, and more will be used to build and preserve drawings in the final piece created by each student. No matter the student's skill level, there will be the opportunity to immerse oneself in new ideas and principles. Cold connection and minimal soldering skill options for your piece(s) can be explored. Students should plan on supplying their own copper and silver. Bring a sack lunch.
