$225

with Lynn Pollard

Calendar Sep 3, 2019 at 6:30 pm, runs for 9 weeks

During the Fall session, weavers will explore traditional loom-controlled Lace Weaves, using deflected threads to form lacy spaces in the woven fabric.  Beginning weavers will focus on basic skills—dressing the loom, color, simple structures, edge finishes—while weaving a scarf or table runner in an all-over lacy textured pattern. Beginning level students choose from yarns supplied by Callanwolde.  Floor Loom Weaving classes are comprised of students of all weaving levels.

Instructors are Lynn Pollard and Elaine Bradley

About the Instructors:  Lynn Pollard, a longtime weaver and dyer, at first, learned her craft primarily through the guild system.  She furthered her textile knowledge through earning a degree in textile engineering from GA Tech and classes at various craft schools around the southeast.  She has exhibited widely and her work is held in public and private collections.  Instagram: lynnlpollard  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJTKckf5tsk
